Christianity’s biggest obstacle seems to be the criticisms of onlookers who persecute the church for lack of perfection. There are several questions this presents. If we go to church on Sunday but live like the world the rest of the week, are we really Christians, are we really Christ-like? Is a Christian a person who has at the least accepted Christ as their Savior, even if they are a poor representative of the Gospel? Can we continue to call ourselves Christians if our actions don’t line up with the “title?” What do you believe God expects from us for the “right” to identify ourselves as His children? I have my own thoughts on this but I’m interested in yours.

Well, we certainly aren’t perfect. Perfection is relative to our own individual walk. If we are walking in all our understanding of God and His word, then that’s perfection for us. The world will never understand that one.
As far as going to church and living like the world the rest of the week. I would have to say it depends on how long have you been a Christian. If your brand new, then we would have to extend some grace. However, if you have been in the way for some time, then you should live right as what becomes the Gospel of Christ.
We should walk the talk, otherwise it’s not much use to the world.
There definitely comes a time where we need to be living examples read of all men.
A lot of people have done a great disservice to Christianity by not living right.
If we mess up, then we need to be humble and repent and ask for forgiveness.
Our light must shine.
Only by His Grace,
Richard
